meanwhile a tj; Im scanning in some photos to put on a digital picture frame. whats the best image type to use, a tiff possibly?
(, Mon 5 Dec 2011, 16:58, archived)
# hmm, probably jpeg. I tend to use tiff for print as its highest quality
(, Mon 5 Dec 2011, 17:02, archived)
# yeah could be worth a try as smaller filesizes
just thought tiff were best resolution, less lossy?
(, Mon 5 Dec 2011, 17:06, archived)
# With jpeg you can choose the quality, so you decide the trade-off between filesize and lossyness.
Digital picture frames are usually viewed from at least several feet away, so some degree of loss won't be noticeable anyway.

Take 2 : I bet if you put this onto a card website you could make a few quid over christmas, I for one would be the first to buy a few! Even better why not make a selection from your previous designs.
