# I haven't used it for about 15 years

# An old version was on my first pc running windows 95, I only managed to do anything with by following the tutorial step by step!

# I`ll have to take your word for that

# It's a piece of piss.
Which aspect is giving you problems?

edit: seriously, I worked with corel draw for more than 6 years.

# All of it except the bit that is their version of basic photo shop!
Don't worry about it, it was just an old copy I stuck on to look at something out of interest, I'll stick with the programs I know and have for flash photoshop, animations and vectors,
I know it's a great program but just too different to what I am used to working with :-)
(, Thu 5 Apr 2012, 20:16, archived)
# Ok.
I don't post much here these days, put often pop in for a lurk.
If you ever have a specific question about it, gaz me and I'll get back to you eventually.
Once you've got your head around it, it's a great programme.
If you're comfortable with potatoshop, then 'draw' is prolly the part of the corel suite that would be of most use to you.
(, Thu 5 Apr 2012, 20:23, archived)
# Thanks very much for that :-)
But I'll stick to Photoshop imageready and flash, I can actually use them with no problem!
(, Thu 5 Apr 2012, 20:25, archived)
# Well the offer's open if you change your mind.
I haven't used a recent version of flash, but last time I looked Corel Draw pissed all over it for vector capability and usability.
(, Thu 5 Apr 2012, 20:28, archived)
# Cheers, I fully believe you, but for what I use it for I'll stick with what I know :-)

# I have version 12 on disc I think it's 12 anyway, but I never bother putting it on because I could never figure it out,
Today I found an old version of 5 that I just stuck on out of interest, and it just flumaxed me completely! I'v never learnt it and have never been able to figure out what some of the suits are actually even for!
(, Thu 5 Apr 2012, 20:23, archived)
# Corel did some OK stuff.
But it's been many a moon since I used any of it.
(, Thu 5 Apr 2012, 20:29, archived)
# I'm not knocking what it can do or how good it is....
It's just got bits that I don't even know what they actually are, and I'v never been bothered to figure it out, I always seem to stick it on, and then go "What the fuck!" and go back to photoshop ;-)
(, Thu 5 Apr 2012, 20:36, archived)
# I only ever use the 30% of Photoshop I require.
The rest is a complete fucking mystery.
And I used to use Studio Max for a living, but never grasped more than about 5% of it.
(, Thu 5 Apr 2012, 20:41, archived)
# I can use all the bits in it I need to, there are some strange buttons in imageready, like the record buttons
that are a bit of a mystery...

I remeber being so glad when I got porn stuck all over it and it filled with porn virus, and the only cure was format and reinstall, and thuse lossing corel and getting a copy of photoshop instead....
If you are wondering how long it took me to get porn stuck all over my pc and it breaking, it was 2 or 3 days on line ;-(

# Been usin Corel Draw since version 3
and it's fucking ace and it wazzes all over Adobe Illustrator. Comparing it to Photoshop is pointless. One's vector, the other is raster.

# I loved CorelDraw 9 & 10
Lovely combination of vector and raster manipulation.
