# To be fair, that's how most people do it... I think.
I only ever draw it frame-by-frame if I absolutely have to.

# depends on the tools don't it
we should bug happytoats for FREE ANIMATION education techniques for FREE.

I got that DAZ3d thing and some stuff, it seems awesome results are possible but I haven't even tried it yet

I'll probably give up and cry and draw a throbbing cdc on photosoup

# Yeah~ I used to use Flash for all my animated stuff. I shall have to get back into it.
PS is alright for animation, I guess, but it irritates me that you can't change the speed of GIFs... unless you can, and I just don't know how to.
(, Sat 12 May 2012, 15:20, archived)
# you can change the delay on a frame by frame basis
but really if you are using flash "speed" is down to the animation itself

if that makes sense :D

# Yeah. When I preview it, it's really fast, but as soon as I've saved it and brought it over here, it's much slower.
I imagine a more optimized or smaller GIF would be faster. I'll have to have a play around with it later.

# 0.02 seconds per frame is as fast as you can go. And it's eyemelting
(, Sat 12 May 2012, 15:25, archived)
# it's basically 50Hz

# 50 HURTZ!

# This is why I prefer to take the aerial approach to my prey.

Due to size pressure I didn't make this look the way I wanted.

# ah well, there is a "bug" or artefact of gif that causes a bit confuserisation
a gif with a frame delay of 0 seconds will play slower than a gif with a frame delay of 0.3 or 0.4 seconds in firefox and chrome

(, Sat 12 May 2012, 15:26, archived)
# Yeah, 0.0 delay sets it to default in firefox.
(, Sat 12 May 2012, 15:33, archived)
# on one of my phones a delay of 0 runs at full speed though
so it's not a consistent thing that can be relied upon it seems
(, Sat 12 May 2012, 15:34, archived)
# Huh... that I didn't know o_o
(, Sat 12 May 2012, 15:33, archived)
# Just do 0.02
(, Sat 12 May 2012, 15:35, archived)
# just do it!
take the foxy rip face of anim and do it to that :D

# There's a little seconds-per-frame box somewhere on the bottom right when you save a .gif in PS
with a default of 0.2. I set all my dance gifs to 0.25 so if I post a load they will be in synch.
(, Sat 12 May 2012, 15:28, archived)
# Frame by frame is far more fun.
(, Sat 12 May 2012, 15:18, archived)
# I can confirm this.

This was damn fun to make... even though I lost an entire afternoon because of it.
