Do you remember 'Trouble' by Shampoo...

That was 100% pure 12 bar blues.
Even the lyrics pay homage to the blues story telling style.

Strange world....

Even better is the MEAN harp I can lay down to Trouble and give it a more genuine feel.....odd but true...

I learnt my skills on classical flute and picalo...and the blues harp....

Blues harp and a few good women plus plenty of Jack Daniels....and a guy who can tell you what the books can't.

I break reeds by bending more than 4 tones on one.....Robert J taught me, and the Devil gave me the tongue...so to speak...

I used to play flute before I started guitar. i wasnt bad, but for as long as I could remember, I've wanted to play the guitar. So I got one 4 years back, and just started playing. It was kind of weird though. This is what makes me think I was born to do this, Whereas 99% of everybody has to have at least SOME time familiarising themselves with the instrument, I literally picked it up and started to play it. Obviously not complex stuff, but the basics were just lodged in my mind from the word go. I was moderately proficient before I started having lessons a year later. I joined a band almost instantly...

dunno if anyone here has heard of 'Pest' (they're on ninja tune) but one of the review snippets on the front was 'all hail the new jazz'.

strange as it is probably the least jazzy thing on the label.
