Why not just get the GIMP ?
It'll do all this kind of stuff and 'tis free (free as in free, not free as in nicked of Kazaa).

I've never got round to learning how to animate with the GIMP.
I would, but it crashes often enough working with still images.

I use Animation shop 3.

I've got that now.
I installed it the other day. It's changed all my icons without asking, and I still don't know how to use it... :(

it will do that.
i find it a lot easier to animate with than imageready, and good for web vector design. otherwise 'tis a bit poo.
