# Make sure you have it young
My neighbours kid gave it to me as an adult and it turned into shingles which was a living nightmare for 6 whole bloody weeks.
It attacks the nervous system and was non stop big time pain the whole time.

# Err, thanks for telling me that.
I've never had chicken pox and I'm almost 20. Think there's a possibility I'll never get it?

# they have a vaccine now, y'know...
But, just to scare you:

Ten years old: Cousins get chicken pox. Mother takes us over there. We don't get chicken pox.
Sixteen years old: Sister, brother, and stepfather get chicken pox. I don't live with them, but I go to visit. Sleep in the same house with the scabbed-over brother and sister and still-infectious stepfather, and don't get chicken pox.
Twenty years old: Visit a friend who starts feeling sick right after I leave. She comes down with chicken pox. I don't.
Twenty-seven years old: Absolutely out of nowhere, I come down with chicken pox.
