a quick question thoug - is there a plugin to acheive the 'scanline' effect? or do you have to apply it manually to each frame ?

Make a new layer, put the scanlines on that
and bring it to the front. Easy.

i apply it manually
just create a new 2*2 file, fill the top half black, set it as pattern and fill the new layer with it.

it's quite easy to define a scanline pattern
and then just PatternFill a layer.
