Well this is what I'm curious to know.
Is the reason all these people are praying for him because he is a particularly outstanding pope? If he wasn't such a great pope, would they just shug their shoulders and pray for whoever? Or are popes in fact fungible? In which case being concerned about his impending death is foolish.
