[challenge entry] Rubbish modern art.
I did not make this but it does qualify more
perfect than ever for the worst art contest.

If you think this image is a joke, look at this
guy's other work www.lonvig.dk
Believe it or not he is serious and people
actually DO pay him a lot for this crap.

# Send this guy an email
He has the email address on his site. It's funny how he replies. I told him his art is shit drawn in ms paint with less than 60 seconds of effort. He said "And shit drawn in ms paint with less than 60 seconds of effort is not art?"

Amusing and quick replies, this guy is funny.

# Sounds like a change of subject.
You never denied that it was art. You just pointed out that it was shit.

# It moves me.
I see the metaphor and I embrace its rich voice. It speaks across the ages and across the continents' divide.

[challenge entry] Thank you so much.
Dear User C,

Thank you so much.
I did not quite understand why the number of hits on www.lonvig.dk/exhibition-sculptures.htm increased dramatically.
I found the reason.
Your post.
By the way MsPaint is far too advanced for Colorful Simplicity - the software I use is much more simple.
And.
I showed my draft of ""second to....none"
Aarhus, Denmark, metallic sculpture, 50 feet - which you so kindly have published - to people from the particular city.
They were exited.
They did not mention the word crap.
Thanks again.

Sincerely,
Asbjorn Lonvig

# I forgot....
Dear User C,

I forgot to say that you hereby have my written permission, as stated in www.lonvig.dk/copyrights.htm, to use any of the draft images on www.lonvig.dk/exhibition-sculptures.htm if you want to comment on other works.

Sincerely,
Asbjorn Lonvig

# What a cool guy!
How many of us would take a kicking and still be polite about it? That's Scandinavians for ya...

# Ignorance is Bliss.
Keep living in it :)

You must have way too much free time to track down all the statistics of your site and to come here posting about it. It's rather funny. Anyways, you may not think it's crap, but normal sane people do. That won't stop you though, living in a pure state of denial.

[challenge entry] Allow me to quote.......................
Dear User C,

Thank you again.
I can see on your language, that we have had a conversation before. You are constantly improving my English.
Allow me to quote from my web site - www.lonvig.dk - when you click on a highly visible button in the top of the main page - ATTENTION www.lonvig.dk/attention.htm
"MY WAY"
This web site presents my way of making art and design.
My view of art and design is controversial.
When I make drafts I use a pencil, a filling knife, a brush, a computer or something else.
What you see in this web site is made with one of these tools.
Many images on this web site and the online galleries I use are drafts not yet painted, printed, erected as sculptures or whatever the intention of the drafts might be.
A combination of "art on demand" and commissioned art work.
Genre: Colorful Simplicity.
People call me an artist or artist/designer - to keep it simple, I do so too.
I know that some people
don't like (..even disgust) me, my style, my tools and the way of promoting my art works.
I accept that.
And
I concentrate upon serving those who
accept (..even love) me, my style, my tools and my way of promoting my art works.

See artistic concept and copyrights, business concept and disclaimer, where I very clearly explain, how I work.

I am proud of doing it my way.

In the live art magazine Colorful News there is an editorial explaining the same ting: See www.lonvig.dk/colorful-news.htm#editorial

And let me give you an example of people who don't disgust my work - a new book by Parisian author Alain Joannes is titled "How to communicate through pictures" tells about the painting "Soul Hurting Still" sold to a customer in Spain.
See Colorful News

Have a nice day.

Sincerely,
Asbjorn Lonvig

# What a douche!

# And he's back for more :)
It's simply amazing how much time you have to actually go and check all of these posts. That obviously shows that you're not an artist, just a regular person on the internet obsessed over his website. You can't argue with that fact.

# Passion
Is a great thing. I think Mr Lonvig would make a good interview subject for the "Interviews" column. You've got to give him credit for what he believes in. We're all discussing it. Doesn't that make it some sort of valid art?
(, Thu 17 Mar 2005, 22:52, archived)
# Not really...
It would be a rather boring interview. People in Denmark are probably too friendly to tell him in his face that it's crap
(, Fri 18 Mar 2005, 23:04, archived)
# c'mon, C,
i may not like it either, but leave the guy alone.
