# Try something like this
Right click on any of the dalek layers
Copy that layer
transform it so it is a lot smaller and squewed off to the right.
Right click on the duplicate layer and choose blending options
Then choose something like darken ( can't remember as I've had a bottle of wine but one of the options under blending will make the layer darken what is under it )
and make it about 60% opqaque, or whatever works.
(, Sat 11 Jun 2005, 21:25, archived)
# here's how i'd do it
put a new layer in between the dalek and the floor. Paint your little black on in the rough shadow shape, then do a few gaussian blurs in a row, at descending values, say at 6 3 2 and 1 pixels.

Then do a free transform on the shadow, reducing the height to make a more convincing perspective on the blur.

Set the shadow layer blending mode to multiply and take the layer opacity down to about 30% or 40% or whatever looks good.

Right, I'm off to the pub!

# *Wooooshhhh*
....but I'l give it a go!
