It was a post ages ago.
Someone posted a real photo of a Morrison's supermarket at night with the logo lit up. But the bulb behind the R, I and S had gone, so it just said MOR ONS. Which was funny. But at least one person misunderstood and didn't understand why it was funny. They just posted "RIS?" This then became synonymous with "I don't get it"

So now, if people post "RIS?", it means they don't get it.
