The original was about his life from
this first coke from his dealer father at 12years old to his adiction with coke, heroin and booze. Including all the band members adictions and death.
But it's a good read and totally unrepentant.

FWIW, "Fear" is perhaps the only half-decent piece of literature the man ever wrote. Dianetics doesn't even work as fiction.

You know he had to be on some very potent and possibly lethal chemicals most of his life, to have gone in twenty-five years from "Fear" to "Battlefield Earth".
