Put him in the cooler

Question:
When optimising in imageready is it better to reduce the colour depth manually before getting IR to optimise, cos if I optimise belwo 200k, they look all washed out?

I let IR do it
and then link an unoptimised version normally

I do all my optimisation in ir
if it looks too washed out try different colour reduction modes (peceptual/selective adaptive) or reduce the image size a bit, eg down from 280px wide to 250px or 200px
Edit: Woo! to the anim!
