yeah...
pattern overlay is one of the options in "layer styles" for me to overlay a texture or a pattern..
*ninja* and then vary the transparency

i'm ideally after a flat pattern that i can tile... that one i posted has a light source from the bottom right... again: i'm just being kinda lazy :-/ xxx

well it looks just like
a photo of Michael Hutchence, who famously died whilst participating in auto-erotic asphyxiation. That plus the the fact that you have labelled the file Hutchence leads me to believe that it could well be an image depicting Michael Hutchence.

Am I close?
