apparantley the reason why other countries have
wide varieties of excellent sauces and britain doesn't is because
british food is such good quality we didn't need sauce to enhance it.
100% FACT!

Don't get me wrong
I do like other food, but my tastes are quite restricted. If we have cinese or Indian food, there are only a couple of dishes that I can say I really enjoy eating. Although I do love Italian food.

interesting fact on French food
the many sauces and dressings invented by French chefs were to mask the fact that the quality of french food was so low.
British food however has always been of such a high standard that it does not require such things.
(probably from QI or something)

And sunday roast comes from only having a decent cut of meat once a week
so you make a meal of it, instead of stretching it out with filler and sauces.
And caviar was eaten by the Russian peasants who caught the sturgeon and gutted them before selling them to the rich.
But snails? Wow, someone was desperate. Or maybe they were just too lazy to run after something with a bit more meat on it...

Wimpy is nicer than McDonnalds
i fail to see your point :)
(
Ironman tetsuo Back once again with the renegade mastah!, Thu 18 Jan 2007, 11:23,

Wimpy is such a rip-off.
The only half decent tasting fast food place IMO is Burger King.
And as much as I hate to admit that I quite like Big Macs, McDonalds in general is a shitty poo poo.

Although I must concede on the smoked eel,
I don't have it filed under "English food", but "Delta of the Ebre food".
However, it's worth the defence.
