honestly there's only one idiotic thing about this story.
it's that they made these devices, including electronic components consistent with inprovised explosives, and stuck them in subways and under bridges in 10 major cities in the united states without telling anyone about it. not that everybody in the country freaked out about it and blocked up traffic.
