I was commenting on the seams.
Once you've used the magic wand in photoshop, try using the delete function to get rid of the extra bits.
I find that using a large brush round the edges makes it a lot quicker too.
EDIT: Oh and never use bitmaps best to use jpgs

I think i should have saved it as a jpg rather than a bmp, it was well under the limit but hardly optimum.

any resulting smears on your monitor can be removed with a tissue soaked in cuckoo spit.

i've not got photoshop at work, i did used to have a great program for doing animated gifs but it's 40 day trial ran out.
any advice? I'm still rather new, perhaps i should have a green P plate.

General advice I give to lots of people who use computers:
Press the F1 key.
Help in most Windows apps is usually very helpful.
