Grandad: One night my Grandad was on sentry duty, standing there alone in the middle of Africa, when suddenly a sniper fired at him. The bullet was heading straight for my grandads heart but he had that cigarette case in his breast pocket and the bullet hit that instead.

Rodney: Jeez, it saved his life.

Grandad: Well not really, see the bullet ricocheted up his nose and blew his brains out.

it was a great show

TJ: Is there an easier way to remove background colour when you want to extract white text from a plain black image?
Selecting the black colour with the magic wand tool, and deleting it that way, always shrinks the text - making it look weaker and scrappy.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

i use the magic eraser, then make 4 copys of the text and merge to bold it out again

dunno but that's how i do it
although me and text are not the best combination.
what tolerance do you have your wand set to, stun or kill with hammers.

I use...
...copy image to a blank channel, colour eveything black you DON'T want go back to your layers
again goto menu selection : load selection : select alpha channel . then fill in colour you want.
Assuming you in photoshop of course
