I even asked the chatty board the other day and they turned round and said.. "it's some sort of 'in-joke' we don't get it either..."

that has all the links to things like RIS and neato? There's a wealth of information there. I just don't know who it is.

Anyway, it basically come about from a pic of Morrisons supermarket neon sign, but with the middle 3 letters (ris) not turned on. Therefore, the letters that were on spelt MORONS...but this didn't immediatly register. So people replied "RIS? I don't get it..." and so a legend was born.

"RIS?" – 'I do not understand' – this phrase originates from an image of a MORRISONS sign posted by ThatFineLine, where the letters RIS had been extinguished, leaving the word MORONS.
