my uncle was hit by an escaped con who jumped a red light
and then fleed the scene of the crime

his knee had to be fused and he can no longer

my uncle has had no one to claim against.

oh, the con was in for violent robbery

You know what you should have done?
While your uncle was in hospital, you should have used your spider powers to hunt down the guy that hit him.
Corner him inside a warehouse and then chuck him through a window.
This whole ordeal would have given you a new outlook on life as well as a newfound responsibility to use your powers for the pursuit of justice and not personal gain.
