Micto, can I ask you a quick question?
Last night over dinner, my neighbour's phone rang. He'd put some tunes on the interweb in mp3 format, and his DJ mate was trying to download them, but was using a M*c. Every time he went to the link the M*c would automatically stream and play them, but he wanted to download them to his hard drive. My neighbour said, "Well, can't you right-click and 'Save Target As'?" but obviously he couldn't. There were six of us, all fairly computer-literate, sat there offering advice, but nothing we suggested worked. How would you go about performing this kind of task on a Mac? I dimly remember trying to do the same on an ex-girlfriend's OSX machine and eventually giving up in frustration.

Well obviously
but there must be a way to perform simple tasks - like download a file - on a Mac...

tell him ( mp3 guy) to zip
the files up into a format that stuffit expander can work with and then get Mac guy to download the archive.

also, in the browser window playing the mp3
ther should be a pointy arrow with a drop down menu, which will allow 'save as source'

Ctrl-click
Save as. Or use a two-button mouse, or when in the file-playing window go to the file menu and choose "save as"
EDIT: The board is eating my response. Why? I also wrote some other ways to achive file saving nirvana, but they won't appear.
EDIT 2: Works now, strange
It's funny, but I was having a similar conversation the other day with a windows user who couldn't work it out.

Isn't it ctrl+click on a Mac?
Where are the Mac users when somebody actually asks for some advice?
