# We can only afford studio flats in this area
And those shared ownership houses? For the entire vale I live in there's 4, and they were all taken at the end of last year.

# ^this^
We're trying to move at the moment.
When we sold our flat we did it in a day and got over the asking price.
Now it sounds like weeks of viewings while everyone ums and ahs over the inevitable interest rates rise.

# It is very much the case m'afraid :(
But on the plus side, we've just bought a smashing kettle and toaster for the kitchen! \o/

# silly government
HIP packs are no use for house buying, they are only good for lining the pockets of estate agents.
(, Thu 26 Apr 2007, 13:17, archived)
# wtf is a HIP pack?

# Somebody needs to tell the estate agents how they are supposed to assess the environmental value of a home...
as no training is being offered, and as far as I
can see, Estate Agents are not property Surveyors
or Architects...
(, Thu 26 Apr 2007, 13:23, archived)

# Hahahah, what a great thought
It ranks in my top 3 films does Jaws,
I'm not sure that plot twist would keep it there, though ;)

# no.1
star wars??
(, Thu 26 Apr 2007, 12:49, archived)
# oh good grief no
probably not even in a noticable place.
I'd put Goodfellas, Jaws and Shawshank Red. up there,
not necessarily for any technical brilliance, but they're films I can sit down to on a Sunday afternoon every now and again, and quite easily
watch and appreciate time and time again
(, Thu 26 Apr 2007, 12:52, archived)
# this conjecture was based purely on the amount of stormtrooper pics you have done
Goodfellas - love that
especially Robert Deniro in his massive 1980s glasses
(, Thu 26 Apr 2007, 12:55, archived)
# hehehehe, I must admit
I find 'shopping star wars a lot easier than sitting down and watching it.
I can enjoy it, in a take it or leave it kinda way.
Goodfellas is indeed a work of near cinematic perfection for me
