goths have better haircuts.
are generally older, like better music, can take a fucking joke, are capably of living semi-normal lives without having to hide in a corner and cry every 10 minutes, and have binocular vision.

I'd not consider a goth
anything remotely like an emo. Goths might be fucking weird but they are rarely young kids who affect emotional distress and have chosen to be non-functioning members of society by the time they are 15.

i'd rather not be a member of society, if its all the same.
i prefer my life of working only when i need to, going out only when i want to, and generally sitting (or lying around) working on my own stupid projects. and looking like a cross between bill bailey an chewbacca.

I'm not so sure.
He cries more and is deeper in despair, but he looks more cheerful in his picture, which makes his emo % less than it would be if he were crying or something in the picture.
