# That's fucking awsome.

# 7MEG?!
how?
edit: sorry, i didn't see the 'animation' bit

if it's 450pixels wide, that'll bump up the filesize straightaway
try making it around half the size, reduce the colours, make it a tiny bit lossy, and then, if you're still desperately big, add black horizontal pixel-high scanlines to every other row

# ImageReady
It's not really compressed at all. All the other settings made it look, well, shit to be honest.

I know it's a pain in the arse for dial-up, but I didn't want to post something shite for once :-o

Oh and it's a 450px wide animation with 183 frames!

# you could even try happytoasts trick of halving the physical dimenssions
of the file, then blowing it back up with html
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:04, archived)
# ah, yes but
they are linked to the original files on my web-server. No matter how much I reduce the image size and quality, I cannot get it down to 280KB to post up here :-(

Hence the inclusion of a shit picture :-D

# i'm at work, so i'm going to click and look
fuck 'em :)
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:09, archived)
# hahaha
excellent work
i reckon you could halve the number of frames and make the frame rate a touch slower, make it physically quite a bit smaller, and crop of the letterboxing, up the contrast a little bit and that'd help a bit

but it's fucking funny
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:11, archived)
# I'll give that a go
and thanks :-)
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:13, archived)
# ^^^

I hope you aren't disappointed :-o

# For those of us without download limits
Leave it how it is. But a really uber small version would be nice so people with limits could enjoy.

# yep
totally 100% my own work

I started at 7pm last night. Went to sleep at 3.30am and started again at 10am. It's just finished and uploaded.

I absolutely promise (hand on heart) that this is my own work. I can upload the Photoshop file if you like :-)

# I know
I saw that and knew at least one person would be suspicious.

I wanted to give it a rest from the usual "shop a poster" shenanigans I normally get up to ;-)
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:07, archived)
# I've clicked it too
you can see the work that went into it
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:09, archived)
# ^^^
thanks :-)

Quick question. Does photoshop store any personal information in the images it creates? I'm a bit paranoid (and no, before you ask, it is a genuine copy) and don't want to upload the original file if it's got lots of info about me in it.

If the files are "clean", then I shall upload the original file just to clarify that it is my work :-)
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:12, archived)
# haha
No need to do that, but no I don't think there is any personal info in their files.

6: Profit. Somehow.

That's ace!

# somebody suggested
that for my "The Shining" animations. It wouldn't work unless I grabbed an awfully large number of frames. And to be quite honest, I'm not that dedicated (although I did have to drag myself away from it last night when I realised it was way past 3am).
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 14:04, archived)
