HAHA! if not, 'grats, t'is cheap n good!
On this note, anyone know of any good alarm clocks that could wake the dead?
Mine does sound like a fire alarm, and it disturbingly doesn't wake me

You want that Sonic Grenade thing
Or some kind of Wallace-and-Gromit-device that wakes you up with a swift boot to the nuts

Get one that sounds different.
Or an old fashioned one with big clangy bells.
(
Afinkawan, Wed 1 Aug 2007, 21:32,

Have one of them as well...
Also had one that fired puzzle pieces out of it & wouldn't turn off 'til you put it back together, but that died from overuse

Puzzle Alarm Clock Bollocks, wish it'd still lived, not in UK no more

It's like evolution, in clock form!
Might consider this one actually, the Puzzle one was pretty good
ED: More clock evolution
Sonic Bomb Alarm 113db has GOT to be loud!

Plus a bed shaker!

Or you could set your pc to
automatically skype a bomb threat through from your address about 5 minutes before you want to be woken up.
(
Afinkawan, Wed 1 Aug 2007, 21:55,
archived)
Then I'd have to succumb to getting Skype...
Although being woken by the bomb squad would be kewl. Might be a bit awkward one morning after tho...
I'm sensing some shoppery coming on, now I just need the joke tho...

Get one that sounds like the phone ringing
It always wakes me up, and is always work asking where i am :)

Hahaha
Exactly the same alarm clock I used when I was a kid and had a paper round.

I was thinking more along the lines of Brian Blessed...
anyone confirm that Stephen Fry can indeed wake you up in the morning?
(
Insane Maniac hates eggs, Wed 1 Aug 2007, 21:38,

Hahaha
Brian could potentially wake as far a field as Dorset from my London bedroom, i'm not sure about waking up half way down my hallway as a result of the subsequent shock wave though..

Don't know if this would wake you any better
but I would hate to miss the show in the morning when my clock goes off!

Fucking genius.
But I'm not surprised they have trouble getting up in the mornings if they have to set all that lot up each night before they go to bed!

Maybe balance a phone on the headboard and set it to vibrate
when the alarm goes off it will fall on your head and wake you up.
(
Afinkawan, Wed 1 Aug 2007, 21:47,

I'm sure mine would fall behind the bed.
