What song is giving you real problem?
Mostly I got through by hoarding any Star Power I got and hitting it on the hard solos, you'll survive even if you only hit 1/4 of the notes.

I heard that you should keep your fingers on the last 4 buttons and move your pointer to the first button for hard. Is that true?

Only do that when it seems to be a higher pitched section
But I have a dextrous little finger and bigger man hands. Though I do find it easier to go from high-low (in terms of pitch) that the other way round.

Other advice is don't be afraid to do the hammer-on/pull-off thing, the timing's quite forgiving.

Yes. I have tiny hands. So perhaps that's part of it. Alright, well I haven't quite mastered the hammer-on/pull-of quite yet, but I'll definatley work on that this weekend. Ta so much! ^_^

I liked hard more than Medium as you feel more like you're playing.

Other good skill to learn is rapid chrod changing, try the first encore (Tonight I'm Going to Rock You Tonight) for that.
