but I left mine outside for way too log after they got washed so they weht to slipper heaven.
/now wears socks

I feel your pain.
when I was 6 and visiting relatives in Germany with my mum, I refused to give up my well loved slippers for the new pair my relatives had bought me.
They thought it would be a good idea to point to the fire and tell me that that was my old pair burning in there:(
I still hate to see a good pair of slippers go.
