because places aren't awarded anymore (a retrograde step in my opinion - it gave everybody a chance, because no two judges had the same opinion of what was funny/talented et cetera).
However, you can achieve some kind of moral/personal victory by posting something funny, different and original, which is then hailed by the cognoscenti as a masterpiece.
