file size
yep soz, im a total noob, been trying to get file size down, i set the dpi to 60 to try get it down as it was much larger lol, much help for the noob apreciated plz, im using flash 8 :)

a simpler loop like this might be better
Flash should also be avoided for exporting to gif as it dithers the colours.

flash is shit at creating animated gifs
better export it as an image sequence into a folder and use "import folder as frames" in Imageready (if you have it), then save optimised with appropriate settings

That's good
but the filesize is pretty huge. Optimize that and use edit rather than deleting and reposting and you'll be sorted :)

So pickey 400k is fuck all these days, its linked anyway and if you don't have broadband then then you are in the minority yeh I can see a problem if everyone did it but can't people let the odd one slide? Am I really the only one on 8meg who see it come up instantly?

i had made it quite big by accident and tried to get it down to 400k as that is the mininum that was asked for, i have taken on the advice from others :) and have hosted it from another site, hopefully ill learn bits n bobs soon as im a noob at posting on here :) have just been enjoying the site & thought id join in the fun.
