turkey's a bit dull
everything about turkey is done better by chicken
goose makes a nice christmas dinner, but it's fatty and a bugger to carve
gammon is pointless. neither pork nor bacon nor ham - it has the worst attributes of all three without any of the redeeming features. it should have been outlawed after the 50s

Gammon is nice when done just right
and turkey is nice under lots of thick gravy.

Gobble
Turkey is lovely when done right. Cover with a layer of cranberry, horseradish, mustard and wine glaze, and roast with a good amount of white wine in the roasting tin.
With the reduced wine and stock and crispy roasties I tell thee, it's ambrosia.
