I put Vista on my Sony laptop as a test (on a seperate drive) yesterday
It scored 2.7 in the performance test.

My desktop came new with Vista
installed and got about 5.3

I'm fairly certain if I reinstalled Vista though, that number would drop to the value of "Buy a new computerLOL - M.S."

I'm coming off XP.
Vista is passable with that UAP bullshit turned off.

I'm mainly moving for the performance increase in Office 2007. It's quite slow on even a fresh install of XP, but my test install revealed a minty-fastering.

Office is for Outlook with Exchange stuff, and Word/Excel for business docs.

make a small selection in excel - copy.
paste it into an email and lotus turns it into a jpg of your excel selection.

And thats for starters.

Attach shortcut to email
Swear
Delete shortcut
Trog all the way back to the root directory and back down the file tree to location of attachment
Decide it's not worth bothering with anyway
Get kettle on
