having mods do the fp'ing is a good thing IMHOif fp images were automatically selected by number of votes then it could be rigged
also the mods will fp images that not many people saw or voted for because they are good/funny (which probably explains a few of the images I've had put on the front page)
the popular page is an excellent feature of b3ta, it means you do get to see the really good/funny stuff

I do agree, to an extent.Mods seem to FP things by people they like more than favour the images that are good/funny etc sometimes.
It's not always the case though, and some things do definitely deserve being on there, but if everything 280px wide on the popular page went on there, it would be fairly quick moving, and fairly lame I think.
It's a bit hit and miss, but it seems to work.

I think the suggestions about a link to "Other popular images" or "Other images you may like" would be brilliant.
Not just because it would keep people happy, but the other elements of b3ta would become popular.
You never see the brilliant art on the front page unless it's funny, but some stuff is just phenomenal. It deserves to have recognition and exposure, so that would keep even more people happy.
I can't see who would be upset by the addition of it.
