C64 games didn't make any noise when you were loading them IIRC. Some Atari 800-XL games talked to you when they were loading because they used both sides of the tape at once if you know what I mean.

I thought I'd let everyone know I'm having a fucking brilliant day.
I bought a new turntable and I'm mp3ing all my old vinyl records*. I've also been looking up the prices of them and doing little dances of joy. Some of them are worth forty fucking earth-quids.
