Or did you just have to put sheets over all the windows and stuff to get constant lighting conditions?

I was shooting with the photoshot function on my camcorder, and there's no way to make the aperture/color balance/focus stay constant. It really hurt a lot of my older stuff. If it looks constant it's simply due to whatever compression Youtube applied to it :-P
