# shame it wasn't the twat that played Harry...
Smug git.
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:12, archived)
# I think wishing someone death by stabbing
is a little bit rough just because you don't like the way he pretended to be someone out of a book...
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:14, archived)
# Yeah maybe, I'm a bit pissed off at the moment.
and there are plenty of other people that deserve it more.
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:16, archived)
# hahaha
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:41, archived)
# When I saw "Harry Potter actor stabbed in brawl"
I have to admit I hoped it was Radcliffe so there wouldn't be any more movies.

Then I felt guilty.
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:10, archived)
# ^this
but without the guilt

An evil bastard am I.

Julia Roberts used to be played by a man!

# OH YES
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:10, archived)
# Hahaha
How pathetic were the tabloids yesterday? All with big lettering in block capitals saying 'HARRY POTTER STAR DEAD'.
Yeah, not a star, he had a bit part, in the film that hasn't even come out yet!

EDIT: IT should have read 'PERSON WITH A JOB DIED'.
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:10, archived)
#
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:12, archived)
# hehehe not really
I wasn't belittling his death I was deriding the Tabloids for sensationalising what the poor gits family must be going through!
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:13, archived)
# "Yeah - as if his death wasn't tragic enough, which it is,
this paper has "learnted" that he was one of those acting celebrity types you all love so much ... a bit like Big Brother but on one of those really big community tellys with the long programmes."
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:18, archived)
# I haven't bought a newspaper for ages, but yeah - a similar headline was on the front page of the Mirror when I went to buy chocolate milk
I thought Radcliffe had been striped :(
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:12, archived)
# Exactly.
Tehy only put it ther so people would think that and but the newspaper, they didn't pause to think how many members of his friends and family saw that!
EDIT: I have a bet every year as to wheather we'll ahve a heatwave or not in the Summer.
The quantifier is if a tabloid has the headline 'PHEW! WHAT A SCORCHER!'.
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:15, archived)
# what when it gets to about 21 degrees C?
I've seen those reports I think they're hilarious. You see all these pictures of people paddling in fountains and eating icecream. AND IT'S BLOODY COLD!
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:30, archived)
# Normally 28-35c
Anyway you call cold 12c! -4c is cold! 12c is not too badder weather.:P
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:32, archived)
# haha
I'll have you know that I have had walk through a couple of inches of snow on occasions! (I live in mountains, it gets that cold, but not very often, usually about 3-5C on Winter mornings) and then 35-40C in summer. That is a scorcher. When you can fry eggs in the sun, that is a heatwave.
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:34, archived)
# 3-5c?
Nice winter morning here!
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:36, archived)

(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:37, archived)
# 3-5c?
Luxury.
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:38, archived)
# Well you can wear clothes for really cold weather
But not for really hot! I think the hottest I've ever had was about 30 mins out of Cambletown in NSW and it go to 50c
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:38, archived)
# when the teperature hits

(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:42, archived)
# you're too crinkly
or the weather is ... and what do you mean by crinkly?
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:43, archived)
# I'm crinkly
and it means that my already short flaccid doodle is crinkled up to embarrassingly short proportions.
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:45, archived)
# capisce
... don't let that stop you, freedom makes your doodle feel bigger!
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:47, archived)

(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:48, archived)
# 50?!!!?!?!?!?!
Exaggeration methinks (record was about 45...btw)
New Years a couple of years ago was 44 or so fuck me that was hot.

# Not into food-based S+M, then?
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 11:04, archived)
# well - I wouldn't say that
I just don't like the idea of hot fat splashed on my best bits
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 11:06, archived)
# C?
English, please. Last time I checked, the currency of this fair land was Sterling, not that deviant Euro.

I think you'll find you meant 70 degrees F.
(, Wed 28 May 2008, 0:56, archived)
# How many people live in london?
I'd have thought 14 was a pretty low figure. Sounds like the police are doing a good job.
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:19, archived)
# ^This
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:21, archived)
# no!
we need MORE police -- armed police, with the right to stop an search anyone on the spot for no reason, and they need more PDAs so that they don't have to go back and do paperwork. What we really need to be safe is a Stazi like secret police force... only when we're all spying on each other can we all feel safe.
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:25, archived)
# Or better still
Make everyone police personages and then they can inform on themselves. The evil ne're do wells!

# Well obviously they had to sit down and ponder such a litery masterpiece.
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:16, archived)
# it's pretty disgusting actually
"hhhmmmm ... this person's dead - I bet we could sell more papers if we bend the truth a little bit. If we lead people to believe that it's someone important they're more likely to splash out on our paper. The fools! And I, the evil Editor, will have further proffited from the death of a young person again ha ha ha ha ha... now then someone write me an article on how drugs are runining the country and YOU, where's that dwarf gone with my cocaine?"
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:20, archived)
# Yeah exactly it actually made me quite angry.
Friends and family knowing that people will be mildly disappoint that it was only their son/brother/friend that died.
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:22, archived)
# I actually picked up the paper and said, "No way!"
Then read the article and kind of went..."Oh, I don't know who he is..."

Probably says something about society.
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:28, archived)
# Not really
If someone you know by reputation, or worse the possibility of one of a number, has been murdered (and lets face it, that's what they implied). You're going to check.

rather than someone you don't ... even if it's just that you know of them rather than know them...
(, Mon 26 May 2008, 10:33, archived)
# People enjoy a bit of 'recreational grief'
They mourn people they have never met and probably never will. They will not be effected by the person dying other than their news being spread all over the news.
All those people acting upset detract from the poor people who DO know them are are suffering from a real loss. Its like saying you are effected as badly as they are, when you are most definitely not.
