but was put off by the whole DRM & dumbed-down gameplay thing
(, Mon 8 Sep 2008, 12:47, archived)
# Yes, it's a bit simplified, but the way it all knits together is great!
Really worth getting

# after three times, you contact EA to request another installation
given the negative feedback to this particular issue, don't be suprised if a patch is released to sort this out
(, Mon 8 Sep 2008, 13:00, archived)
# FUCK THAT
I was thinking of buying it, I'll torrent it now
(, Mon 8 Sep 2008, 13:01, archived)

but could only see a version of spore for Vista rather than XP? Am I missing something?
(, Mon 8 Sep 2008, 12:59, archived)
# It's running fine on my ancient, coal fired XP
if that's any help
(, Mon 8 Sep 2008, 13:41, archived)

# You didn't bargain on me being geeky enough to go and check

(, Mon 8 Sep 2008, 12:54, archived)

fantastic books.

# i'm re-reading them
on II at the moment, but read most of it on the train back from London yest, which stopped for about 20 minutes in milton keynes, so my brain isn't working properly

the fiction in the first one is better than in the second, seems like they're trying to merge the fantasy and the science in order to aid people who missed the back story

# After the Librarian's help, I know
It's also used in Spore, but I thought it was too good a joke to pass on.

# It has NO FLOW to it whatsoever.
3rd person creature running around killing stuff and evolving, then BLAM, top down strategy gaming with no evolving for the next zillion years.

Fun enough though.
(, Mon 8 Sep 2008, 12:48, archived)
# That's what I thought,
it feels like the space bit is the real game and rest are just little add ons to lead up to it.
They are all fun though.
(, Mon 8 Sep 2008, 12:49, archived)
# Seems like a few mini-games bundled together with a vague connecting story.
And the civ stage was hilarious. I just made a tonne of fighters so the intercom was a non-stop stream of "HAQUOODAH, OKII" over and over.
(, Mon 8 Sep 2008, 12:53, archived)
# oh, TOP STUFF!
... I had a choice - get the STALKER SoC prequel, or get spore... I picked STALKER. wadda-mistaka-to-make-a.

bugged to hell, pointless changes to the way the inventory works and a load of other crap.
(, Mon 8 Sep 2008, 12:48, archived)
# I went with both. It looks so nice. And it was great until my PC crashed :)
On recommendation of Shada, I'm going to wait until it's patched properly and just play through the original again.
(, Mon 8 Sep 2008, 12:51, archived)
# Exactly what I'm doing... waiting for the patch.
Bloody beta release... Why the FUCK can I not see the stamina meter unless I go into the inventory?
(, Mon 8 Sep 2008, 12:54, archived)
# That's bin dun i'm afraid
but no where near as good as that.

not mine of course, not sure who done it
(, Mon 8 Sep 2008, 12:54, archived)
# HAHAHAHA
Personally I prefer this version.

The way he falls over is comedy genius !
