"Using anything but the arts package on your computer..."

# ...recreate some real-world art using everyday objects
Examples: melt some clocks in the oven to do some Dali, or shape the Venus de Milo out of mashed potato. Anything is possible.
(, Wed 15 Oct 2008, 20:14, archived)
# Excel - Everyday object.
"Anything is possible."

Why am I arguing this?
(, Wed 15 Oct 2008, 20:24, archived)
# yah right!
excel != everyday object
(, Wed 15 Oct 2008, 20:27, archived)
# personally, as an accountant
excel is far too much of an everyday object.
(, Wed 15 Oct 2008, 20:35, archived)
# why is it out of order?
(, Wed 15 Oct 2008, 20:15, archived)
# because of
all the stick people get from regulars if they post a non-shopped photo!!
(, Wed 15 Oct 2008, 20:17, archived)
# well, that's their look out, there's nothing generally wrong with doing it
it just gets repetitive if it's about nothing in particular - hence the backlash against (what was) real photo sunday.
however, b3ta is a fickle beast at the best of times, so the best thing to do is just accept that this week
they want people to be creative, take a pic/screenshot etc and show us what you can do.
Never take b3ta seriosuly, or to heart. B3ta is all things to all people

/talk isn't that bad, and can be quite enjoyable.

There. I said it.

# Real photo Sunday failed
because all the lurkers would turn up who didn't have any grasp of optimization, to at times quite insane levels. I found it otherwise quite interesting for a while, before alas, as you say, it got out of hand and repetitive
