TJ: I can't see photobucket, any of the domain for the past few days.

I've checked Adblock, turned off my anti-virus and firewall and checked it on Firefox, Chrome and IE but no luck.

Anything else I can try? Cheers.

# You can try changing your DNS settings
OpenDNS are 208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 11:59, archived)
# So you mean change from "Obtain DNS address auto"
and put those in.

I'll give it a go, cheers.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 12:07, archived)
# Obviously not a DNS error.
Maybe my ISP has just blocked it for some unknown reason?
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 12:15, archived)
# Sounds more like your ISP might have routing issues
Is it a large company?

Regardless of size, see if their tech support might be willing to forward your issue to their network people (after they have you wipe your harddrive and reload your operating system of course)
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 12:23, archived)
# Irish company. Reasonable sized. Never had issues like this before.
To be honest, I suspected it was an ISP problem, I just wanted some more technical people, such as yourself, to suggest issues with my machine before I got involved with tech support.

Formatting hard drive as we speak :)

# What kind of can't see?
What happens if you go to photobucket.com ?
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 12:00, archived)
# Can't see anything on that domain at all.

(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 12:04, archived)
# So, when you go there, you're struck blind, is that what you're saying?
Do you actually get a message with DNS error, is the less sarcastic form of the question I'm asking here.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 12:05, archived)
# Ah I see. Difficult to weed out the real responses from the ... um, .. unreal ones.
I just get a blanket error, does not mention DNS. It reads -

Connection Interrupted

The document contains no data.

The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.

On firefox after a few mins of waiting.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 12:13, archived)
# Hum.
Sounds a bit like the "network timeout" you get when the website isn't responding, only not quite the same. Sounds more like they gave up on you. Photobucket haven't got the patience to supply you with any data, evidently.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 12:19, archived)
# Giving up on me? Those judgemental photobucket bastards! >:(
Its a weird one. Like you say, its just as if the website isn't there as far as my computer is concerned. Oh well. I'm sure I can live without it if this is the way things are now.

# Rub a magnet all over your harddrive
That'll fix it

I did this once... it worked very well.

*May not actually have worked

# I did once rub a magnet all over a tv screen while playing Manic Miner for a few hours.
The resulting colours were awesome!

The resulting broken tv, less so.

# This might help
In firefox, type: "about:config" in the address bar
then, type in "ipv6" in the top filter bar
if the value = "false", right click and select "toggle".
the value now should change from "false" to "true".
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 12:29, archived)
# Thanks for the suggestion but no luck with it.
Must be an ISP issue.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 12:36, archived)
# Unless the name of the preference is "disableIPV6" ?
In which case false is probably good. Then again, why have an option to disable it unless it makes stuff work sometimes.
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 12:36, archived)
# Who knows? :)
Anyway, doesn't work either way. Besides I tried it on Chrome and IE8 with the same result so its not a Firefox issue.

Thanks again for the suggestions.
