(, Wed 14 Jul 2004, 2:13, archived)
# Actually.....
Oddly enough, I didn't do IT. I did:
Mech engineering
Electrical engineering
& Electronic engineering
HNC in all three.

I finished there about eight years ago.

(, Wed 14 Jul 2004, 2:17, archived)

Not as far as I can recall.

Although, the only name I can remember from the mech is someone called Bob C**se (edited for security purposes), who took the welding and fabrication module.

# Disney?
My wife attended a 2 week workshop there when she had an office job (her last) creating animations on the world's largest video screen
(, Wed 14 Jul 2004, 2:02, archived)
# Notice that their job isn't an office job.

Work, computers and B3ta don't mix.

you serious about that animation work?
(, Wed 14 Jul 2004, 1:57, archived)
# Office?
We've been self-employed for over a year now and can never go back. Our 'office' is 10 feet from the bedroom (nice commute!).
(, Wed 14 Jul 2004, 1:59, archived)
# Nice.

What I'm getting at is that when you're at *work* you're nowhere near a computer (by the looks of things anyway).

It seems that most B3tans skive off work to browse the boards far too much.
(, Wed 14 Jul 2004, 2:03, archived)
# Computers?
We live on them when we're not making stuff or painting. We also do a lot of work for a slot machine company - and should doing that full time in a month or so (from home of course :)

After constructive advise from B3ta (TOO ARSING BIG etc) much deliberation and several hours of workavoidance trying to work out how gifs, well ... work, managed to wrestle this down to 200K (was 650, so I'm quite pleased)

Would value advice on best (affordable) GIF animator. Currently trying Ulead, which seems quite good, although 30 quid seems like a lot of green, or am I just tight...

paint shop pro is $84, comes with a decent gif-animator, and has a sizable subset of photoshop's features. It's what I use.

Or you could thieve tattyshop.

Decent image editor with Gif animation tacked on would be worth the extra methinks...

# no prob, glad to help :)
There's also a 30-day trial available (although I'm not 100% certain that includes Animation Shop, you might need a seperate download for that.)

EDIT: The other choice is Photoshop Elements, which comes bundled with lots of stuff (my cheapo scanner came with two licenses, for example) but that doesn't include a GIF animator, so you'll need to keep scouting around for a seperate one...
