It's not easy being a kid these days - invariably your parents are fighting, drunk, absent, or in prison. So let's design some books to help our children cope with whatever life throws at them.

There is no other explanation for this.
It even has a fancy, Amazon style "look inside the book" thingy.

This must be the reason all children know those crap rhymes... (apart from the nonce one, I think thats only sung at the Jackson children's school...)
