This is a normal post Thanks - although it was great in dry weather, with moths, I thought it worth for four days before going there, waiting for 'proper' weather.
It turns out that almost everything I've done personally and professionally has basically been about 'bad' weather, which is why I'm so delighted to wake up and find it's a piss-wet Bank Holiday Monday.

I built something similar in about 1997 on the roof of the student union, we we mucking about with some vari-lights (nodding buckets) we'd hired for the weekend.

There was a fairly low cloud layer which helped with targetting/alignment.

We were told to shut it off by university security as apparently they'd had reports of UFO activity over the campus.
