I used this as a theme for
a fancy dress party once. 'Come as the person who was number one when you were born'. It worked really well, although some got to be Blondie while others got Simon and Garfunkel. This did cause some amusement when gender is taken into account. Sadly, no-one got Mr Blobby or Orville.
