Friend of mine had one of them.
It was fairly knackered cosmetically so he rat rodded it. Looked pretty good.

A regular taxi driver i had a few years back
had photos of one of those he converted to a hot rod, looked great. Although I know fuck all about cars!

I'm in two minds.
20 years ago I'd have said chop and drop it. I think Pops were all leaf and you can lose 5" of ride height by putting the axles over rather than under the springs, cheap and easy. Some coil-over dampers sort the ride out.
Roof chop I have never been part of, but boy they look good.
But 20 years on? I'd just restore it as stock.
