This is a normal post A multimillionaire artist. And that's the best he can think of.
What's he trying to say? That corporations are bad? Stick your neck out Banksy! Don't be afraid of being too controversial! For fuck's sake, the Chapman Brothers were doing this sort of shit infinitely better 15 years ago.

This is a normal post Is he really an artist?
Witty visual dissonance is pretty low art, good cartoonists knock that kind of thing out day in, day out. It maybe clever, but I don't think it's really art. Jake and Dinos are just out to shock. That's not even clever.

This is a normal post catering budgets are outrageous these days and stifling the creative spirit

This is a normal post I think you're thinking too much of banksy
He's just having a bit of fun isn't he?

This is a normal post He's our generation's artist
The last had Koons. Then Hockney. Then Bacon. Then Dali. Then Picasso.

Diminishing returns.

This is a normal post Again, I think you're reading him wrong
Don't recall him ever proclaiming to be the new Picasso

This is a normal post In his head he is.
He thinks he's saying bold and exciting things about society.

This is a normal post Impressive levels of mindreading
Do you need to be in the same room, or can you do it remotely?

This is a normal post Look, whether or not he wanted to be the artist of the 2010s
He is. And he should be trying a lot fucking harder. Maybe by doing something original. Or interesting.

This is a normal post Original? Who set up a deliberately crappy British seaside fun park first?
But seriously, I really wouldn't describe him as an artist in the same way you would Bacon or Picasso. He's a b3ta user posting outdoors.

This is a normal post A painting of a merry go round isn't an interactive, cheeky comment on modern theme parks

This is a normal post His 2D theme park
Says more than Banksy has ever said or ever will. That's a truly great painting right there.

And if he hates being the darling of the world art establishment, as you suspect, why doesn't he hang up his fucking stencil.

This is a normal post Why should he quit a well paying job making vaguely funny pictures and stuff?
There are worse cartoonists out there

This is a normal post Cartoonists don't have pretensions.
They're good at what they do and rightly proud of it. Banksy - I'm sorry to spoil your illusions about what a good bloke he is - thinks, or has been convinced, that he's fucking Hogarth. When in fact he's got less talent than a gluer-sniffer and his CDC.

This is a normal post I think you'll find there are lot of pretentious cartoonists

This is a normal post Banksy's alright.
He has the depth of a tabloid cartoonist but is inoffensively amusing and talented.
He probably thinks he's clevererer than he is, but hard not to when you're elevated to a genius by the masses.

This is a normal post Disney World is cool
Expensive as fuck but cool. I went to the Orlando Disney World and the park is absolutely spotless and there is a huge amount to do. Best thing to do though is bring your own drinks & snacks.

Not sure what Disneyland Paris is like but I imagine the experience is pretty similar.
