Ayers Rock is impressive but the coach loads of tourists spoil it somewhat
People sit on their coaches while the staff put up loads of picnic tables and serve glasses of champagne, then they get out, watch the sunset with their drinks then back on the coach to their hotels in Alice Springs.
The nearby Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon are far more spectacular and there's no fucker there

I hitched round Australia,
so couldn't make it to Ayers Rock, but my Mum informs me that it is great as long as you see it from a hot air balloon to avoid the crowds.
