Duh
I'd say lame rather then nerdy. Has the guy never heard of persistence of vision before? I am disappoint.

If persistence of vision blows his mind
Then the way the brain edits things out on the fly is going to mess him up.
For a demo, look at your eyes in a mirror. First look at your left eyeball, now look at your right. Look back and forth between them, you can feel your eyeballs moving but you can't *see* them moving - because your brain edits blanks out you vision briefly while your eyeballs are moving and fills in the gap so you don't notice.
