Lucky the on-coming trucks didn't interfere with their slide.

As a biker myself, pretty unfortunate, but I wouldn't have been riding as fast as he was...

Does feel a bit like he was travelling too fast for the road conditions
... but then, isn't that what causes a pretty high proportion of accidents? Not condemning him, just saying we all do it from time to time. He (and his lass) were lucky.

Not for motorcycles
Most m/c accidents are caused by not being seen.

I'd debate that
I have had several bike accidents and the vast majority have been my fault going round a corner too fast and dropped it. Luckily I am usually ok get up and it goes unreported. I have had one where a car pulled out in front of me compared to at least 4 5 or 6 occasions of "Oops I fucked that up!"

And yet
Mudder bike riders always want respect on the roads, the mirror-denting, lane switching 'tards. Bloody menaces on the roads, and always driving in bicycle lanes. Should be banned.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
Having slid along the road a couple of times myself, I came to the conclusion that if it wasn't so expensive and didn't hurt - it's actually quite fun.
