apparently. www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/one-in-six-psychiatrists-has-tried-to-turn-gays-straight-1654273.html the article i'm dimly recalling was from bloody ages ago, the very first time i read about conversion therapy, and i'm sure it was the members of the british psychological society rather than psychiatrists in the article i read though i'd guess at broadly similar proportions cos they're fairly closely a llied professions. of course i could be recalling it wrong! but it may well have been a third in the late 90s or early 00s and changed loads by now (or 09)with the exit of older therapists who would have made up a high proportion of those who had treated for homosexuality. gaynicity was a mental disorder for quite a long time eh?
