A colleague at work asked me how I was, since he knew I had a cold
"Not too bad, but I sound American" I feebly joked, referring to my blocked nose.
Cue a half-hour rant from him about not having to work in such a xenophobic environment, how the global company has global principles where no-one should be put down based on their race, creed or gender, and how I was completely out of order in judging another culture because mocking = aggression.
With people like that around, I completely sympathise with Mr. Fry.
