I think the whole point is that it is on location
Particularly the road, so it creates dust, skids realistically etc etc

Lots of films use CG cars these days
They are much easier to do (especially spotless / brand new ones) than lots of other things

Virtually none of the stuff at the start is real. Not the buildings, motorways, cars, bikes etc. Aside from the actors in the foreground its mostly CGI.

If you watch a US TV car ad it'll say something like "performed by a professional driver on a closed circuit" to stop lawsuits from idiots who emulate whatever the ad does.
Maybe now they can just say "all of this is computer generated bollocks".
